Former Wal-Mart Official Dies

Paul R. Carter, who retired from Wal-Mart as chief fi nancial ocer in 2003, died Saturday after a decade-long battle with cancer. He was 69.

Kyler’s big day

Thursday was a “day of his dreams” for Kyler Kasper. The 2-year-old Pea Ridge toddler was diagnosed at birth with a rare blood disease called Diamond Blackfan anemia, which requires frequent blood transfusions.

Life Way volleyball finishes in semis

NASA awards grant to JBU team

The National Space Grant Foundation recently awarded a team of John Brown University students $5,000 to be used in preparation for NASA’s first Lunabotics Mining Competition, to be held at the Kennedy Space Center in May 2010.
